In this Washington, D.C. urban gardening workshop I discuss a slew of things one can do in the summer in preparation for a successful fall harvest. We also go over some key ways to extend your growing season so that you can get the most out of late summer.
As always, we also touch on gardens as spaces of community empowerment. It seems that more people than ever are taking an interest in urban gardening in the DC metro area, and I’m beyond pleased by the overwhelming responses to these urban gardening workshops.
Thanks to our friends at the Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum and Urban Waterways Project.
The next workshop will be on October 23rd, so don’t forget to register in advance. I can’t wait to see you there!
